NEW SERVICE
Soil Stabilization
Soil Stabilization and roadconditioning is the new service we are adding for 2008.

Soil Stabilization is a 2000 year old process of increasing loadcapacity , reduce rutting, boiling, washboarding and reducing wear of roads and subsurfaces. This is done by blending lime or other stabilizers with the existing soil and achieving pavement like conditions for 30 to 40 % of the costs of conventional site preparation methods, that means without any soilexchange. The whole process does involve spreading of the stabilizing agend, reblending this soil and the lime with a reclaimer, grade and repack and we are done. Depending on the usage putting a layer of wear material might be required. The photo shows the tractor towed stabilizer at work last fall in Huron County.

EQUIPMENT UPDATES
Packer Tractor Replacement
The JD 8120 has been replaced by a JD 8330 with IVT and a JD 843 loader. The tractor is further equipped with 50km/h road speed and hydr. and air brakes and dual tires. When adding the rear dozerblade the tractor weight is about 19 mt for packing purposes.

Additional New Tractor
A Fendt 933 with 250hp is the newest addition to the line of Fendt tractors. Right now the tractor is programmed for 50km/h, but can be updated to 60km/h once the legal requirements in Ontario are in line. It is a totally new design and since its introduction one year ago in Europe this series of tractors has gained a fairly good reputation.

Planter Capacitity Increase
A 12 row Flexicoil planter with central seed and fertilizer delivery has been added to the planters. The Great Plains 12 row planter will be replaced with a JD 1770 NT 16 row planter. All planters are set up for notill with the Nutill configuration, dry fertilier banding and insecticide banding.

Poettinger 30ft. Mower
The Austrian company Poettinger has a 9m wide pulltyp mower, the Novacat T8. We will have this unit on a rental basis available for the 2008 season which serves Poettinger as a high acre trial unit and we can check out other ways of efficient forage cutting. We might also be able to explore the possibilities of the silage in a day concept. Technically the unit can be upgraded to a 12m unit, when pulling 9m as a pulltyp mower and pushing a 3m unit on the front.

Windrow merging every 10, 20 and 30ft is possible, but we won't be able to merge windrows every 40ft with this machine.
